Agreement on Orientation Regulations for Student Societies 2026

 

Background

Orientation Regulations for Student Societies 2026  (“Orientation Regulations”) is written by Centre of Development and Resources for Students (“CEDARS”). The Orientation Regulations governs all matters related to Student-led Orientation Activities.

Student Societies aiming to organise Student-led Orientation Activities shall submit the Agreement on Orientation Regulations for Student Societies 2026 (“the Agreement”)  as a pledge of adherence to the Orientation Regulations.

Only the Student-led Orientation Activities of the Student Societies that have duly  fulfilled the requirement stipulated in the Orientation Regulations shall be posted in the List of Officially-Acknowledged Student-led Orientation Activities ("the Official List") for new students’ reference.

Student-led Orientation Activities included in the Official List are allowed to book campus facilities/equipment and to use the University’s resources during the Orientation Period. Organisers, helpers and participants shall bear their own risks and consequences for engaging in Student-led Orientation Activities that are not on the Official List.

The information provided in this form will be used by CEDARS during the Orientation Period, including but not limited to sending out updates, event invitations, surveys and other communication, promotion and publicity materials. Photos, videos and event recordings taken at the events organised by CEDARS will be used for its reporting, publicity, compliance with laws, rules and regulations, and other related purposes.
