Join "Walking with Nepal: Nepal Service & Cultural Tour" and embark on a rewarding journey of sharing knowledge and inspiring young minds. By establishing a STEAM Activity Room in the village schools and volunteer teaching, you'll have the opportunity to unlock potential, empower students, and foster a love for science and learning among Nepali children. Strategically partnered with CEDARS, University YMCA® (HKU) is recruiting students to join the "Walking with Nepal: Nepal Service & Cultural Tour" and bring kids in Nepal a great start to a new year! 【Programme Details】
Period: From Nov 2024 to Feb 2025
Overseas Service Trip Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
Fee: $7,500# + Deposit $1,000* (including YMCA subsidy, flight tickets, meals, accommodation, insurance, programme and material fee, etc.)
*Deposit refundable upon completion of the programme requirements with satisfactory performance. Please refer to the "Remarks" below.
#Participants who are awarded with the Gold Award of "YM Global Citizenship Award Scheme" can obtain $1,000 subsidy. For more details, please click HERE.
#Participants can apply for the HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund - Reaching Out Award, a one-off grant of HK$10,000. For more details, please click HERE.
Language: Cantonese (for pre-trip and post-trip programmes), English (for the trip)
Content: Establishing a STEAM activity room for local Nepali children, conducting literacy programme, exploring the beauty of Nepal

【Remarks】
1. Deposit is fully refundable upon completion of 80% of all pre-trip meetings, post-trip meetings & activities, the whole overseas trip, and requirements of "YM Global Citizenship Award Scheme" Gold Award, with satisfactory performance throughout the programme.
2 80% attendance is required at all preparation meetings before departure, post-trip meeting and activities. University YMCA (HKU) reserves the right to terminate the participation of any individual in the programme and participants may be liable for any costs incurred from the programme, if they fail to attend all preparation meetings without pre-approval. An exemption may apply to participants who can provide written proofs (such as unavoidable academic reasons/sick leave) in case they cannot attend any session of the programme.
3. University YMCA (HKU) of Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong reserves the right of final decision for any disputes.
